Women of the Church
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” (Proverbs 31:25-26)
The Women of the Church group meets monthly in different members’ homes for Bible Study and fellowship. All women are welcome to participate in the various activities of the church – choir, Sunday School and fellowship are several examples. Help is offered to church families during illness or injury. Come join us!
Starting in September 2020, we will study the book Finding Balance: Loving God with Heart and Soul, Mind and Strength, by Becca Stevens. It will help us consider the question of balance in life — between service and worship, duty and devotion, doing and being — as we examine the lives of New Testament women such as Mary and Martha, Lydia, Mary the mother of Jesus, the Canaanite woman, and Mary Magdalene. The study will conclude by exploring the anointings of Jesus Christ, in which women played a crucial role.
