Women Of the Church

Since our beginnings in 1922, the Women of the Church (WOC) have been a vital link in our chain of ministries at the IPC in Brussels. Together, we have joined hands with sisters around the world in study, worship, fellowship and mission.  Our alumni have traveled the world establishing new ministries whose seeds were planted in Belgium. All women of the IPC are considered members of WOC. Everyone is welcome!

Toiletries: You are invited to save the little toiletries that you find in the hotels and on your flights.  Near Christmas each year we organize individual packets with all the toiletries that have been brought in and take them to the Salvation Army.  They distribute them to the homeless and the needy.  You can place the toiletries, throughout the year, in the yellow basket which is found behind and under the Welcome Desk in the sanctuary.

 WOC activities include:

  • Annual retreat

  • Emergency help (meals, childcare, etc) is always available on request for families in crisis, or needing special support
  • Saturday Morning Book group at 10 am (various locations)
  • Thursday Morning Bible Study
  • Wednesday Morning Bible Study
  • Wednesday Evening Bible Study
  • Participation in Church Women United “World Day of Prayer”
  • Full participation in the Worship and Administrative life of the church (ushering, worship leader, fellowship, gate guard, nursery hugger, Church Council, office help, etc.)
  • Full participation in all committees of the church.

Have you ever wondered why even your toaster came with a user's manual but your children didn't?  Do you feel like you could use a little support, encouragement and respect in being a mother?  Are you curious to discover how Hearts at Home (www.hearts-at-home.org) could be of assistance to you and your family?

Please come to tea at Maija Besky's house: Allee du Petit Paris 59 in Waterloo on Tuesday, December 2nd 9:00-11:00.  RSVP 02 351 2126 or just drop by.
