Missions for 2014
Our IPC Missions Committee serves as YOUR voice in Missions service. Our most recent Mission was in support of Nativitas, a soup kitchen and food pantry. More than 400 kg of food and 1065 Euros were collected in December, a wonderful blessing for the most vulnerable people living in Brussels!
In the coming months, our Missions outreach will be supporting a diverse group of ministries from around the globe: In Romania, we will be finishing our work with the special needs workshop in Arad. In Tanzania, we will be working with a partner AICEME pastor who runs a local program for the abandoned street children of Dar es Salaam. In Vellore, India, we will once again provide a scholarship through our partners at The Christian Medical Hospital and College to train a health worker who will return to her village as a means of providing the only health care available for remote villages in India. In Brussels we will partner with Serve the City, the Le Refuge home for children and with the Protestant Social Centre. We will also be supporting the work of one of our own who serves with Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). And, of course, in the autumn we will once again be collecting for Christmas in a Shoebox and Nativitas. All-in-all, a busy and meaningful year!
Your financial support, your time and your energy are all most welcome. There are ways to get involved here at home or abroad…big commitments or small ones. There are always ways to make a difference! If you would like to participate, please contact the church office (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Pastor Frick. We look forward to your continued WONDERFUL support in 2014!
