IPC is a church in mission!

Since our beginning here in Brussels as a mission training post, we have been at the heart of spreading God’s word. We believe God’s work encompasses the entire world.  As Christians, we belong to a worldwide family of believers and it is vital that we maintain this perspective in all that we do.

IPC supports missions for:

  • The advancement of God’s kingdom and its values
  • To build God’s church
  • To lead people to a personal knowledge of Christ
  • To minister to people in need

Our goal in giving is that a minimum of 10% of our annual church budget goes towards supporting mission work.

To reach this goal we allocate grants from our church budget for specific local mission projects, and we receive a monthly mission offering (above and beyond the church budget) that underwrites special projects around the world.

In 2009 our giving will be designated to these projects:

  • Vellore Christian Medical Hospital - Support of outstanding hospital and associated Orphanage for girls in India (we raised $1917.00 this year)

  • Los Laicos school (Peru) - School for orphaned and abused children and teen mothers in Peru

  • Heal Africa - see our Mission of the Month

  • Areopagus -

  • Protestant Social Centre - Support for refugee program and children at risk in Brussels

  • Nativitas - Food pantry in downtown Brussels

  • Le Refuge Les Salanganes - Home for abused children - Lillois, Belgium

  • La Clarine Home for adults with special needs - Belgium

  • Two annual clothing drives for Protestant Social Centre

In 2008 we gave over 35,000 euros to support these or other mission projects.
