Nursery

http://www.ipcbrussels.org/images/Christian%20Edu%20&%20Sunday%20School/CE_ena-closeup.jpg

Our nursery is staffed with a professional preschool caregiver, assisted by volunteer “Huggers” each week.  Your infant/preschooler will feel right at home. Nursery care is available from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. in room 106.  Come by and meet Ena Tolentino.

Nursery Huggers Needed

Do you love sweet, little babies or curious toddlers?  The nursery is looking for huggers (helpers) to assist our professional caregiver.  The commitment is one Sunday every three months.  Please contact Angela Allen if you would like to help.

Elementary

Children's ministry is a top priority at the IPC. Preschool through Grade 6 students are invited to begin worship with their parents in the sanctuary. Following their own special “Children’s Moment” with Pastor Murray, they move on to Sunday School classrooms during the school year. Preschool - 2nd grade children may be picked up after 11:15 a.m. in Room 100 while 3rd - 6th graders may rejoin their parents at the Coffee Hour.

Children's Sunday School classes are held after Children's Moment on Sundays. during the school year. Preschool through age 12 are all welcome!

Summer Sunday school: Will begin on 27 June.  Because so many of our congregational families are traveling or gone for the summer, we will discontinue our regular Sunday school program.  In it’s place, there will be activity packets for children of all ages and a multi-age group Sunday school for our younger children.  If you can help by leading the multi-age Sunday school one Sunday this summer, please contact Daniel Tylke or the Church office.  Many hands make for light work!

For this fall, we are looking for more Sunday School teachers and helpers. If you are interested in helping or teaching for the 2010 - 2011 school year please contact Danielle Tylke . If you have never taught before, don't worry, we can give you some training. It is a wonderful way to share God's teaching with our younger members.

Adult Bible Study

Classes are organized at Pastor Frick's home on Sunday evenings at various times throughout the year and on many different topics.

Early Communion Classes

These are classes for parents and children who would like to know more about communion.  This is a great way for each family to discover the meaning of Communion and to decide when the right time is for the children in their family to begin to participate.  The class is aimed at children who are too young for the confirmation class or pastor’s class but are interested in communion.  Classes are periodically organized depending upon the number of people interested.

Youth Ministry at the IPC

http://www.ipcbrussels.org/images/Youth/young_life0178.JPGYouth ministry is an important part of our church life and we are blessed with a great group of students.  Both junior high and senior high youth meet on Sunday mornings for Sunday School during the last half of the worship hour.

Youth groups will be starting again in the fall of 2010.

Students are challenged to put their faith in Jesus Christ and to grow in their understanding of Christian discipleship by sharing their talents and gifts each Sunday during worship.
